On most trains, yes. But the rules depend on the train company and the type of train, so always check with the train company before you travel.
What you need to know
- You may need a bike ticket. Some train companies charge a fee for bikes. This isn't covered by your Pass, so you'll need to buy a separate bike ticket.
- Some trains need a bike reservation. Especially on high-speed and international trains, bike spaces are limited, and you may need to book one in advance. Some high-speed trains don't allow bikes at all.
- Busy trains can say no. If a train is too full, staff can refuse to let you board with your bike.
- Folding bikes are easier. If your bike is folded (and in a bag, where required), most train companies treat it as normal luggage, so you don't need a bike ticket.
