With your DiscoverEU Interrail Pass, you can travel on trains operated by participating European railway companies, as well as selected ferry and public transport services. Since DiscoverEU is designed to help you explore the European Union, we encourage you to focus your trip mainly on visiting EU Member States.
The DiscoverEU Interrail Pass is valid in all the countries shown on the map below.
The DiscoverEU Travel App includes train schedules for all countries marked in blue on the map. This makes it easy to plan journeys within and between these countries. If you're just getting started, check out our guide to using the app.
Your DiscoverEU Interrail Pass is also valid in the countries marked in pink. However, these countries are not included in the Travel App planner, so you'll need to pay a bit more attention when planning before you travel. We've put together a helpful guide for travelling in these countries, which you can find here.
You can also travel through Monaco and Liechtenstein, where train services are operated by the French and Austrian national railways. In addition, your DiscoverEU Interrail Pass includes selected ferry routes between Greece and Italy, operated by Superfast Ferries and Blue Star Ferries. Please note that fuel surcharges, port taxes, high-season supplements, and cabin accommodation are not included in your Pass. You can find more information about travelling by ferry with your Pass in this article.
The Interrail Pass is not valid on railways in Albania, Belarus, Moldova, Russia, or Ukraine.
There are currently no railways in Andorra, Cyprus, the Faroe Islands, Gibraltar, Iceland, Malta, or San Marino.
