Once you've added your DiscoverEU Interrail Pass to your device, you're ready to start planning your trip. To learn how to get the most out of the DiscoverEU Travel App, check out this article. We've also gathered some travel preparation tips and tricks here.
When you're ready to create your train ticket, follow these steps:
- Go to the Planner and search for the journey you'd like to take. Select a journey from the results and save it to your trip. Need help planning? Check out this article.
- Once you've decided to take a saved train, go to My Trip and add it to your Pass by turning on the switch next to the saved train. This will generate a QR-code for that travel day in the My Pass section. All activated trains will appear below the QR-code and together form your ticket for that day.
- If the journey date isn't already a Travel Day, we'll ask you to use one when you add the train to your Pass.
Important: A Travel Day and its associated journeys can no longer be changed once that Travel Day has ended.
If you're travelling to North Macedonia or Bosnia and Herzegovina, your destination may not appear in the Planner. If that happens, check out this article to learn how to prepare your trip and create your ticket.
To view your ticket, go to My Pass, select the relevant Travel Day, and tap Show ticket. You'll see your QR-code and an overview of all trains added to your Pass for that day. Ticket inspectors can either scan the QR-code or visually inspect your ticket.
Note: If your plans change and you've already activated a future Travel Day, make sure to cancel it before it starts (up until 23:59 local time) to avoid losing it. You can do this in the My Pass section by selecting the Travel Day and choosing Cancel Travel Day.
Remember: activated Travel Days and journeys in the past are considered used and can no longer be edited. For more information, check out this article.
