Once you've completed your booking form, you'll receive an email from Interrail with your Pass number. Follow the steps below to add your Pass to the DiscoverEU Travel app and activate it. Watch the video on how to activate your Pass
Important: activate your Pass before your activation deadline. This confirms that you will travel. If you don't activate it in time, your Pass will be cancelled and given to someone on the reserve list. See your important dates
How do I add and activate my Pass?
Wait for your Pass email first. Please don't download the app or try to log in before you receive the email from Interrail with your Pass number. Logging in too early can cause technical problems with your Pass, which can take time to fix.
Once you have your Pass number, you can follow the link in your Interrail email, or follow these steps:
- Download the DiscoverEU Travel app from the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Check the phone requirements
- If you're logging in for the first time, tap Start by setting a password and enter the email address you used when you applied for DiscoverEU. We'll send you a link to set up your account.
- The link is only valid for 60 minutes, so use it straight away.
- Only request the link once. Sending several requests won't work. If your link has expired, request one new link and wait for that email.
- When the app asks about notifications, turn them on. We use them to warn you about strikes and major disruptions.
- Log in. The first time, it can take a few moments for your Pass to appear.
- Enter the last 3 digits of your passport or ID card number. Use the same document you'll bring on your trip, because ticket inspectors may ask to see it.
- Choose your start date. From that date, your Pass is valid for 1 month, and you can use your 7 Travel Days at any time during that month. Your start date must be within your allowed travel period and no later than the "Activate by" date on your Pass.
- That's it! Your Pass is now in My Pass, and you can start adding trains to create your QR codes. How to add a journey to your Pass
