Once you've added your DiscoverEU Interrail Pass to the app, you're ready to start planning your trip. How to plan your trip with the app | Tips for planning your trip
How do I create my ticket?
- In the Planner, search for the journey you want to take. Choose a journey from the results and tap Save journey. How the Planner works
- When you're sure you'll take the train, go to My Trip and turn on the switch next to it. This adds the train to your Pass.
- If that date isn't a Travel Day yet, the app will ask you to use one. If the train goes in or through your home country, the app will also ask if you want to use your outbound or inbound journey.
- Your QR code for that day now appears in My Pass. All the trains you've added for that day are shown below it, and together they form your ticket.
Note: some countries, for example North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, may not appear in the Planner. How to plan your trip and create your ticket for these countries
How do I show my ticket?
Go to My Pass, tap the Travel Day, then tap Show ticket. You'll see your QR code and all the trains you've added for that day. Each Travel Day has its own QR code. Ticket inspectors will check your ticket by looking at it or by scanning the QR code. How ticket inspection works
What if my plans change?
- Before your Travel Day starts (before 00:00 local time): you can change your trains or cancel the Travel Day. To cancel it, remove the trains from your Pass, then go to My Pass, tap the Travel Day and tap Cancel travel day. Removing the trains alone doesn't give you the Travel Day back.
- On the Travel Day itself: you can't cancel the Travel Day anymore, but you can still change your trains.
- After the Travel Day has ended: the Travel Day and its trains count as used, and you can't make any changes.
