There are some countries that are not included in our Planner. This includes the United Kingdom, Spain, The Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania), as well as Türkiye and several other countries in Eastern Europe. However, this does not mean that you can't travel there of course...!
Here are some steps you should take when planning a trip to any of these countries:
- Check out the Rail Network Guide: Have a look at Rail Network Guides in the app, to see how travelling in this country works. You can see which trains are included, whether any trains require seat reservations, and find a link to the country's main train operator(s). The Rail Network Guides can be found under ‘More’, then go to ‘Travel Guides’ and scroll down to go to the guides.
- Find a train itinerary: Check the website of the national railway company for the train schedule. You can find a link to the train company in the Rail Network Guide, or in the overview of railway company websites on the website of Interrail.
-
Add the train to your Pass: Once you found a train you'd like to take, please add it to your Pass manually. You can do this by filling out non-existing stations in the planner, after which you'll get the option to 'add the journey manually'. Please select this option, fill out the short form with your train details, and save this information. This train will then be saved to your My Trip section in the app, from where you can activate it just like other trains.
Note: If the train you want to take requires a seat reservation, you will need to obtain this prior to boarding the train. You can find information on how to obtain a seat reservation through the Rail Network Guides. If you want more information on seat reservations, you can check out this article.
Tip: Be sure to check the Pass Benefits for these countries as well. Some of these countries might not have international train connections as of now, and your Pass can offer certain discounts on alternative means of transport.
