You confirm it by activating your Pass in the DiscoverEU Travel app before your activation deadline.
Each round has a limited number of Passes. Activating your Pass shows us that you will use it. Non-activated Passes will be cancelled and given to people on the reserve list.
How do I activate my Pass?
Activating your Pass means choosing the date your trip starts. From that date, your Pass is valid for 1 month, and you can use your 7 Travel Days at any time during that month.
Your trip doesn’t have to start right away. You can choose any start date, as long as it is:
- within your allowed travel period (see your important dates), and
- no later than the “Activate by” date shown on your Pass.
Not sure when you’ll travel yet? You still need to activate your Pass by your activation deadline. Just choose a start date that might work for you. You can change it later.
When is my activation deadline?
It depends on when you were awarded your Pass. See your important dates
Important: if your Pass isn’t activated by your activation deadline, your Pass will be cancelled and given to someone on the reserve list.
Can I change my dates after activating?
Yes. You can change your start date or your first Travel Day any time before that day begins (before 00:00 local time). Once it has started, you can’t change it anymore. How to change your dates
Reactivate your Pass straight away. To change your dates, you need to deactivate your Pass and activate it again with your new dates. Your Pass must be activated on your activation deadline and stay activated after that. If your Pass is not activated, your Pass will be cancelled.
