Cyprus, Iceland, Ireland and Malta are part of the DiscoverEU programme but not reachable by train. This is why DiscoverEU offers flights to these destinations in addition to your Fix or Flex Pass. However, places are limited and booked on the “first come, first served” basis.
If you wish to visit one of these countries, you can send your flight itinerary via the Submit a request page of the Help Centre (select "travel booking" in the first field).
Keep in mind that to ensure we can book your flight on time, you need to send to us your itinerary at least 3 weeks before your departure.
Kindly note that once the flight tickets have been booked, they are non-refundable and non-modifiable, it is therefore important to make sure you have planned your final itinerary before requesting flights.
Note: DiscoverEU is a rail-based initiative that offers the opportunity to visit EU countries by train. Flights to Malta, Cyprus, Ireland and Iceland allow travellers to visit one of these insular countries because it is not possible to do so by train. Flight tickets are not a substitute for the DiscoverEU Pass, they are additional to the Pass.
Flight tickets are not included in your Travel Days
The additional flight tickets provided to all the travellers living on island countries or travellers wishing to visit the island countries are not counted in the 7 travel days. However, this additional tickets need to fall within the one-month validity period of the DiscoverEU travel.
